Just because it's on YouTube doesn't make it true

Documentaries and other aspects of the Media, such as the above video. Do absolutely nothing besides take away from the seriousness of mental health topics. Potentially causing lifelong problems for the person who has a valid medical condition.
When documentaries and the media in general report, especially things like this.

We need to not allow things such as this example affect our treatment, in any way whatsoever.

Unless the person has a degree in the following fields listed below, they honestly are not qualified to state whether or not you have to valid medical condition.

  • Psychology
  • Medicine
  • Pharmacology
  • Nursing

Remember, they're basing their knowledge on nothing more than the following things.

  • Stereotypes
  • Cognitive biases
  • One sided biased opinions
  • Obsolete information or information not researched by a QUALIFIED MEDICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFESSIONAL
People who create forms of media based on things such as this video, honestly could care less about your treatment. Their goal is to focus on ratings. They do that by exploiting people's fears and hesitations, with a total utter disregard for the well-being of the people who suffer discrimination day after day. Throughout their lives, due to the ignorance of others.

So when it comes to irrelevant, uneducated and biased opinions, please treat them for exactly what they are. IRRELEVANT AND UNEDUCATED OPINIONS MADE BY UNEDUCATED PEOPLE WHO HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONCEPT OF THE COMPLEXITIES OF MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES

When it comes to your treatment, well-being, medication and the daily frustrations and struggles that go along with having a mental health. Don't let anyone who tries to make it seem as if what you are going through is irrelevant or for attention. It takes a lot of strength, especially in a world with so much intolerance for mental health issues. To deal with them, plus coping with the intolerance that people in society have towards mental illness.

Understanding what is the correct things to listen to and what the incorrect things to listen to. When you understand that it takes the power away from stigma. When people discredit mental health issues, it's honestly no different than someone thinking 1+1=3 not 2.

They are both wrong regardless of how loud and obnoxious the person is, does not make them anymore right.
