Why Simplifying Our Lives Shouldn't be so Complicated

In today’s world we have a tendency to let things such as social media, advertising, and other outside influences affect our lives. Sometimes we let it affect us a little bit more than we realize which causes us to be constantly overstimulated.
Due to being bombarded by so many things at once, sometimes it's good to get back to our inner core. To understand who we truly are and what we stand for. Getting back to who we are doesn't have to involve giving up life's good thing. To  me it's more about understanding what's important to you, in order to effectively live a healthy well-balanced life. While not letting unnecessary external factors influence you, from who you are.

  • Look at your life, and the things in it that are beneficial for you and the things that are not
  • What's the best way to eliminate the negative nonessential things, that hold you back in your life

These two simple things, can be very difficult to accept, understand and apply to your life. What I'm trying to say is that, we have to be able to put our needs ahead of our wants. In order to filter out the negative nonessential things. In order to discover and ultimately become who we truly want to be.

The reason it shouldn't be so complicated is that, we put to much importance on unimportant things. The more we do this, the more we lose own identity and the longer we do it. The harder it is to find ourselves, and in a world where there is so many irrelevant things and irrelevant people. That we should make focusing on who we truly are a priority.
